National Day of Action - May 1, 2025

Yes, it’s a weekday. Yes, it will be a little inconvenient. I get it. All I ask is that whomever is willing and able to show up, shows up! Challenge yourself to put a little extra effort in, because these are not normal times and normal actions will not fix them.

AND at the same time, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. I heard the analogy that the reason a choir can make consistent sound without stopping because when some are breathing others are singing. I like that description.

Keeping this nice and simple, we will be greeting rush hour commuters on Thursday, May 1, 2025 8am-10am in our usual location. I am putting this together as part of MAY DAY STRONG so there is an official Mobelize event. Please use that for details and registration.

People are of course welcome to stay longer! We can gather back at Rosati’s for pizza for lunch since they were so fantastically supportive of us last weekend!

There will be events that afternoon in Durham at 4 pm and two in Raleigh that I bet will end up just blending into one big one — 3:30- 7pm and one that is 4-7 pm. They are basically in the same area, so just show up!

And if you can’t wait until May 1 - YES, YES, YES we will be back out there this coming Saturday, 4/26 at 9 am - parking lot of Harris Teeter at McCrimmon. Bring your family friendly signs and we will show them WE ARE NOT GOING AWAY UNTIL WE FIX THIS MESS!
